Ms. Nadja Ray is a Bulgarian artist, who states her unmistakable and sophisticated voice presence, when she takes the stage. Her sensual notes, charisma and tasteful interpretations bring old tunes to life, popular numbers – to a different edge. Nadja's repertoire includes Jazz, Blues and Soul Greats, also Pop and Dance classics of all times. She speaks fluent English and with an ease involves the audience in the musical journey, she's taken. At a very tender age Ms. Ray started gathering experience from the big stage as BV for a Bulgarian superstar. Later, as a student at The Sofia Academy for Contemporary Music, she became a member of the "Quadro" Vocal Jazz Quartet and together they participated in quite a few Jazz Festivals and concerts. Turning point in her carrier was joining the ,"Because" 5 piece band in the early'90. They toured all over Europe, playing different night venues in Norway, Finland, Holland, Greenland and UK, also onboard most D.F.D.S., Fjord line and Color line ships as a part of their entertainment teams. In 2002 Nadja R. started her new project – the "New Edition" sextet, again playing the night clubs on the Color line, the Estonian Tallink Ferries. With her band she performed in shows onboard m/s Selja Europa during 2005-2006.
