Lennon English is a songwriter, singer, and musician living in Washington DC. He calls the music he creates “Soul-Fusion”; a genre-defying mix of eclectic metaphors and slick melodies over deep rumbling basslines. It is the god child of soul, funk, jazz, hip-hop, rock, and electronica. Born and raised in Flint, Michigan, he began singing and playing piano in church at the age of four and learned to play thirteen instruments by the age of 17. It was during this time he was exposed to old school rhythm and blues, jazz, and classical music and discovered his talent for both instrumental music and vocals. As he became exposed to more types of music, his musical curiosity, as well as his world travels to Europe, Africa, and Asia, exposed him to even more genres of music and influenced and expanded his own sound into various types of rock, fusion, techno, reggae, samba, salsa, afrobeat, and others. Eventually, Lennon began developing his own sound and created "Soul-Fusion" music. His new album "Digital Sage" features this very unique audio scintillation... songs like "Under The Moon" and defining his wide range of musical style as a soulish, funky chords and melodies, fused with jazz, rock, and electronica.
